The chat interface provides users with an intuitive and feature-rich environment for interacting with the AI assistant. This document outlines the core functionalities of the chat interface, including managing chat history, selecting models, and sending messages.
On the left side of the interface, users can view and manage their chat history. When a user starts a new conversation, it is automatically named. However, users have the option to rename their chats manually. Additional chat management features include:
Rename Chat: Users can rename specific conversations.
Delete Individual Chats: Users can remove specific conversations.
Clear All Chats: Users can erase their entire chat history.
Located at the top of the interface, the chat controls allow users to:
Select a Model: Users can choose from different AI models, including:
GPT-4o-mini
GPT-4o
O3-mini (Note: Image uploads are disabled when this model is selected.)
Start a New Chat: Users can initiate a fresh conversation.
Disconnect: Users can log out of the service at any time.
At the bottom of the interface, users can interact with the AI assistant through a message input box. Key features include:
Text Input: Users can type messages and send them by pressing Ctrl+Enter.
Image Uploads: Users can attach up to four images for analysis (except when using the O3-mini model, which does not support image uploads).
Send Button: A dedicated button to send messages without using the keyboard shortcut.
Stop Button: Allows users to halt the AI response in case they want to interrupt a long reply.
Expand Input: Allows users to expand the input area size for inputting longer requests.
The chat interface is designed for ease of use and efficiency, allowing seamless switching between models, structured conversation management, and enhanced interactivity with image support. These features ensure a smooth and flexible user experience tailored to various needs.
By leveraging these functionalities, users can maximize their interaction with the AI assistant, making it a powerful tool for information retrieval, creative exploration, and problem-solving.
